Description
Saptadhanyankur Ark (“seven sprouted grains”) is a tonic made by grinding freshly sprouted grains and mixing them with water and cow urine. In natural farming it is traditionally sprayed when crops are flowering, when grains and fruits are filling, and on vegetables before harvest.
We don’t sell this preparation. It has to be used within hours of making it, so it only works when made on your own farm — at almost no cost. To learn it with us, request a farm visit.
Ingredients (for 1 acre)
| Sesame (til) | 100 g |
| Green gram (moong) | 100 g |
| Black gram (urad) | 100 g |
| Cowpea (lobia) | 100 g |
| Moth bean or lentil (masoor) | 100 g |
| Bengal gram (chana) | 100 g |
| Wheat | 100 g |
| Water | 200 litres |
| Desi cow urine | 10 litres |
How to prepare
- Day 1: soak the sesame in a small bowl of water.
- Day 2: soak the other six grains together with the sesame, overnight.
- Day 3: drain, tie in a wet cloth and let them sprout (about 1 cm).
- Grind the sprouts into a paste, using the soaking water.
- Mix the paste into 200 litres of water with 10 litres of cow urine and stir well.
- Filter through cloth.
How to use
- Spray on 1 acre within a few hours of preparing it.
- Traditionally timed at flowering, at the “milk” stage of grains, and a few days before harvesting vegetables and fruit.
Storage & shelf life
Use the same day — ideally within 2–6 hours. It does not store.
Good practice
- Spray in the evening, not in strong sun.
- Try it on part of the crop first and compare.
